Annual entertainment festival returns to Chester

The annual Deva Fest is set to return this year to Cholmondeley Castle, which is just 13 miles to the south east of Chester.

As you would expect, some renowned and celebrated music acts will be appearing on stage, such as Ocean Colour Scene, Sleeper, East 17, The Human League, and The Coral.

For those with their own vehicle, the festival is only a half-hour drive from Chester, but the organisers will also be putting on shuttle buses from Chester and Hoole, as well as many other locations in the area. You can choose between camping options if you want to attend the whole festival, or just get a day ticket if you prefer. A wide range of sweet and savoury cuisine will be available from a diverse selection of independent food sellers, and there will be novel experiences like gin masterclasses to participate in.

When you’re not busy at the stage, you’ll be able to enjoy rides at the fairground, and these are free and unlimited for ticket holders. Chester’s own Danny McLoughlin will also be doing stand-up comedy every day of the festival.

There’s always something to do in and around Chester, so it’s no surprise it’s so popular as a study destination. At Bed Student Rentals, we provide quality no-fees student accommodation in Chester, so all you have to worry about is paying the rent, especially as even the utility bills are included.

The festival will take place from Thursday, August 8 to Sunday, August 11.
