The organisers of the University of Chester’s third series of public lectures by the Culture and Society Research and Knowledge Exchange Institute (RKEI) have announced the speakers for the upcoming events.
The speakers range from a TV expert to a theatre director. The various lectures will take place once a month, starting with Theatr Clwyd boss Liam Evans-Ford on October 22. He will be discussing future arts and how modern arts organisations like his may need to adapt.
Other speakers include Stewart Ainsworth, who is a visiting professor at the university and an expert on landscape archaeology for the television series Time Team. On January 21, 2025, he will be talking about mapping the past.
The Culture and Society RKEI’s director at the university, Professor Tim Grady, said:
“Our public lecture series is always both fascinating and fun, with lively talks and great discussion. This year is set to be even more exciting, as we’re joined by television personalities, international artists and theatre professionals. We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone to the university each time for thought provoking talks.”
Every event will take place in the Wheeler building on Castle Drive. Everyone is welcome to attend and places are free, but they must be booked online.
