Nearby farm to host local festival

If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, you could check out Maggie’s Fest, which is being hosted by Brimstage Farm, not far from Chester in the Wirral.

The event is being held to raise money for Maggie’s, a charity that helps people affected by cancer by offering free support in social, emotional and practical matters. Last year’s event raised £15,000 for the charity after drawing in over 1,300 people. Various band, DJs, singers and other performers will be featuring at the festival, but you’ll also be able to make use of the usual activities at Brimstage Farm, such as the giant maze, inflatable giant football, jumping pillows, zip line, pedal go-karts and barrel rides. There will also food and drink stands for refreshments and other activities.

Kathy Wright, the Centre Head at Maggie’s, said:

“We were overwhelmed with how many people attended the 2023 and we are extremely thankful to Brimstage Farm for continuing to support Maggie’s in this way. We would also like to say thank you to Home Instead Wirral for kindly sponsoring this event.”

She added that the charity currently helped almost four-fifths of the local people who had recently received a cancer diagnosis, as well as many who have been living with cancer for a while or got beyond it.
