Saturday sessions taking place at Chester brewery

The Spitting Feathers Brewery on Chester’s outskirts is well known for using first-class hops to make superb craft beers, but Chester residents can now also enjoy its Saturday BrewBarn Sessions.

The sessions take place every Saturday in the village of Waverton at the brewery’s headquarters on Common Farm. Lasting four hours, the sessions invite people to enjoy fresh food, laughter, music and, of course, an ample supply of great beer.

Guests will take a brewery tour, upon which they learn about how the brewery makes its beer and the ingredients involved. As you would expect from a brewery tour, the brewery’s beers, with their various flavours and styles, will be available to taste along with food made freshly. This includes pizzas made from locally sourced ingredients, still hot from the oven and suitable for various dietary requirements. When booking tickets, you can also request a gluten-free and vegan option.

Local artists playing music are also a big part of the sessions, and their vibrant summery renditions fill the bar with atmosphere. For £35 per person, you get unlimited beer, pizza, live music and the brewery tour. The brewery can be found on Common Lane, Waverton, Chester at Common Farm, with sessions running from 2 pm to 4 pm.

Chester has a wide range of ways to spend your weekends, and this is part of what attracts people to come and study in the city. If you’re one of them, the city also has some great student accommodation near Chester city centre.
