Water company offers prizes for going outdoors

Severn Trent, which supplies Chester with its water, has launched a new campaign to encourage people to visit its outdoor sites and have the chance to win a prize.

The company has released a number of treasure maps that list nature reserves, local parks and community green spaces where people can enjoy a great low-cost day out outdoors in nature. The Chester map includes Grosvenor Park, the Countess of Chester Country Park, Westminster Park, Marbury Country Park, Delamere Forest and Anderton Nature Park. All interested parties need to do for a chance of winning a £100 voucher for Virgin Experience Days is take a photo of yourself having fun at any of these locations and publish it online.

The Severn Trent website explains how to enter:

“Take your family and friends on an adventure in nature. Follow our treasure maps to find local beauty spots on your doorstep. Capture the moment. Take a snap of your family's day out in nature. Upload it to Instagram, tag us and share it to #STYourLocalTreasure for your chance to win.”

What’s more, you can make multiple entries, so you can keep snapping your adventures until the closing date on September 2, 2024. While hopefully enjoying the summer wherever you are, you may also be in need of shared student housing in Chester while you continue your studies. Fortunately, the city has a range of options available in popular areas like Hoole and the Garden Quarter, often with inclusive bills for easy budgeting.
