Why Choose us Bed Student Rentals

Why Choose Us?

We make it our mission to understand your requirements and keep the renting process as simple as we can. All our rental prices are inclusive of utilities making it easier for you to budget and so there are no nasty financial surprises!

Choosing your Bed is a big decision so we will be asking you some questions……

  • Where do you need to be? – location is always key
  • Who do you want to live with? – big group, small group, new friends or old?
  • What can you afford? – making sure you can afford to rest and play
  • What are you studying? – do you want to live with course mates? Or away from them?
  • What are your Interests? – Party animal? Sport fanatic? Video gaming whiz?
  • What year are you in? - just starting out, totally dissertation focused, somewhere in between...

Once we know what you are looking for just follow these simple steps

To put it simply, they make our lives and our tenants lives easier. Here are a few reasons why.

  • Arrange a Viewing – Call 01244 952 252 to arrange a viewing. This can be one property or several. Viewings are done Monday to Friday 11am – 6pm – Give us some notice though, we like to make sure our current tenants have plenty of notice that we will be popping in.
  • Gather your group – if you’re all moving in together, you all have to agree so make sure you all view the place together.
  • Reserve your property– our office at 63 Garden Lane, we like to take you the properties so you don’t have to hunt them out, and if it’s a longer walk, we might even drive you in the Bed mobile!
  • Sign your tenancy agreement – Once you’ve reserved the property, you will then receive your tenancy agreement. Think before you sign, this is a legally binding document, so please don’t be afraid to ask someone to look it over, maybe a parent or one of the helpful team at the student union.
  • Get a guarantor – All tenants must have a guarantor, so if something happens, they will cover your rent, this is usually a parent or family member or sometimes an employer. They must be a homeowner or in full time employment and UK based. They will sign an agreement alongside your contract. If you are unsure about this, ask us, we have plenty of advice and options that could help.
  • Move in – We will be in touch with you to arrange you getting the keys and moving in. We will also help arranging your rent payments either directly to the landlord or through Bed, depending on your contract.
