While the city centre has an abundance of bars, eateries and place to gather socially, campus hangouts are also available in easy reach of Chester university accommodation.

Graduates and undergraduates soon find the university has many spaces and facilities designed for student use at its various campuses and buildings.

Exton Park

Open from 8 am to 8 pm, the campus dining rooms provide a cosy place to take it easy in between lectures or finish of an assignment. Substantial meals and light snacks are available throughout the day.

Exton Park campus also houses the University of Chester Varsity Bar, a perfect place to unwind with mates. Alcoholic drinks are available, as are snacks served with a hot drink, which you can also take away to appreciate in a quieter spot on campus.

Queens Park

Based in Churchill House in behind campus reception, students will find the Touchdown Lounge. Designed for comfort it has TVs, sofas, tables and chairs for chilling. On the ground level of Churchill House there is also a dining room designed with self-service in mind. With plenty of seating and multiple microwave ovens, it’s ideal for socialising over an affordable lunch.

Riverside and Kingsway

Near the city centre stands the Wheeler building. Its third floor has a dedicated student common room with comfortable sofas, microwaves and café style tables and chairs for dining and chatting over a cup of coffee or tea.

Finally, Kingsway, Chester’s creative campus, also has a common room alongside the canteen with a fridge, TV, microwaves and sofas for student relaxation.

If you find yourself at any of these campuses in the near future, give one of these hangout options a try.
