June will find Chester’s famous cathedral nave filled with the music of Fleetwood Mac.

The spiritual hub of the city Chester Cathedral holds regular services throughout the year.
However, the Grade I listed landmark near student accommodation Chester city centre has also made a name for itself as an events venue. From art installations to cinema screenings, the cathedral has hosted some impressive event but one of its most attractive offerings is its programme of candle-lit concerts.

A live band will back a cast of singers from London’s West End on stage playing a track list of Fleetwood Mac’s greatest songs. Featuring high pointed arches and intricately sculpted pillars, The Nave presents a stunning location for a rock concert aesthetically, but also boasts premier acoustics that will let fans of Fleetwood Mac hear beloved tracks like they have never encountered them before.

The cathedral’s interior will be illuminated at the evening event by over 1000 LED-powered candles, to create a soft and safe glow. Those coming down to the show will be treated to some of the band’s best-known number. These will include “The Chain”, “Don’t Stop”, “Little Lies” and singer Stevie Nicks’ ode to a Welsh witch “Rhiannon”.

The Fleetwood Mac Concert by Candlelight will now take place on Friday, June 6 in The Nave at Chester Cathedral. The concert will commence at 7.30 pm, and the cathedral is sited on St Werburgh Street in Chester city centre.

Those buying tickets for the concert are advised that no beverages and food from outside are allowed inside the cathedral.
