Students in Chester looking for laughs can come down to an event being held in the city this summer.
Popular pub The Goshawk is hosting an evening called “The Giggle Shack Comedy Night” and is inviting all who are 18 or older to attend. Located near student lets in Chester, the venue is easy to find on Station Road in the city centre.
The upcoming event follows the full house show the pub enjoyed recently in May with the same name. The Goshawk has teamed up once again with The Giggle Shack, which was nominated as the Best Independent Comedy Club in 2020.
According to the venue, comedy fans attending the showcase can expect high-quality stand up with lots of laughs. However, it advises those interested in attending to gather their friends and make an early booking to avoid disappointment should tickets sell out.
Self-styled “Plastic Scouser” and Giggle Shack’s owner Colin Havey will be carrying out compere duties on the night, which features three different stand-up comics. These include Daliso Chaponda, who was a finalist on the hit TV show “Britain’s Got Talent”, Charlie Ashton, a renowned as a rising star of the UK comedy scene, as well as Big Lou Jones, a funny guy for hire, after dinner speaker and regular guest on BBC Radio Manchester.
The Giggle Shack Comedy Night will now take place at The Goshawk in Chester on Thursday, July 31. The show will get started at 8 pm, and is set to finish at 11 pm.
