Telford Warehouse will welcome northwest indie rockers Sleeping Together to its stage this summer.

June will see the band that formed during FaceTime sessions over the coronavirus lockdown grab the spotlight as headline act at the popular venue. Located near student rentals in Chester, the nightspot is easy to find in Tower Wharf.

The upcoming performance in the city will follow an earlier appearance for the four-piece at the O2 Ritz in Manchester on May 23, when they support Casey Lowery alongside the Mercians as special guests. The single-night show in Chester will give the band an opportunity to share tracks from their debut Ep released last year called “I Won’t Tell if You Don’t” and fans can expect to hear songs like “Summer Girl”, “Someone I Can Love”, “Daisy”, “Pour Me Another”, “The Essentials”, and “Money and Nicotine”, among others on the night.

The sound of Sleeping Together has been described as a mix of Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian, The Strokes and The Libertines. While reminiscent of indie music from the early noughties, the band has its own unique style creating a sonic experience for gig goers that combines pounding drums, driving bass lines and energetic guitar riffs. The band is led by Alexander Lloyd-Jones on vocals with Amber Hughes as drummer, Michael Corry as lead guitarist and Ryan Williams on bass.

The Liverpudlian indie rock band will now play live at Telford’s Warehouse on June 27. The concert will kick off at 9.30 pm.
