The Live Rooms in Chester has announced it is once again opening its doors to “The Madchester Experience”.

Offering a deep dive into the music and culture of the indie scene of Manchester in the 90s, the event is an unmissable occasion for fans of retro sounds that still enjoy a significant following today.

Based in the city centre near no fees student accommodation in Chester, The Live Rooms has always enjoyed the custom of postgraduates and undergraduates alike. The show returning in July will let students in Chester immerse themselves in an authentic recreation of the era.

Headed up by a tribute act staffed with skilled musicians, The Madchester Experience faithfully produces the unforgettable sounds of original British bands like The Verve, Supergrass, The Farm, Oasis, The Happy Mondays, The Charlatans, EMF and The Stone Roses, to name but a few.

From Brit Pop to indie rock, soundscapes on stage are supported by the attitudes and fashion of the 1990s and high-quality video film projections showing footage of the time. The show’s prowess has seen it picked to perform multiple times alongside musical legends from the era including Bez of The Happy Mondays and Clint Boon from Inspiral Carpets.

The Madchester Experience will appear on stage in Room L1 on Saturday, July 19 and the evening event runs from 7pm to the 11pm curfew. Tickets are priced between £19.50 and £22.50, and the Live Rooms can be located on Station Road in Chester.
