Chester University students with a passion for comics and collectables will rejoice to hear that a brand-new event is arriving in the city this summer.
The Magical Craft Sci Fi Comic and Toy Fair is coming to the Macdonald Craxton Wood Hotel in June and is a first for the event’s organisers, MSE Events, which has already exhibited in Salford Quays and Preston.
Based on Parkgate Road near Exton Park Campus and Chester University accommodation, the venue is in easy reach of students planning to attend. On arrival, fans of science fiction, superheroes, horror and fantasy films, card games and graphic novels will find plenty to interest them. More than 60 exhibitors are likely to attend selling and trading a wide range of merchandise and memorabilia from famous franchises like Star Wars, Marvel and Harry Potter, perfect for showcasing in student rentals in Chester.
Founded by fans back in 2008, MSE Events is committed to its continuing pursuit of organising and operating comic conventions, sci-fi fairs and comic book shows throughout North West England and nearby regions like North Wales. The organisation is run by a small band of fans and volunteers with a passion for all things comics, fantasy and science fiction. With a firm focus on entertainment, it’s events sometimes feature celebrity guests from TV.
The Magical Craft Sci Fi Comic and Toy Fair will be held at the Macdonald Craxton Wood Hotel in Chester on Sunday, June 22, and will start at 11 am and run until 4 pm.
