Television director Daniel Moss recently expressed gratitude to the University of Chester and two members of its faculty for their support.
Moss is the Director of a new show on Amazon Prime called My Haunted Project, which takes an in-depth look at the premises believed to be haunted and focuses on Chester venue “Ye Olde Kings Head”.
Based on Lower Bridge Street, a stone’s throw from student accommodation in Chester city centre, the inn is over four centuries old. Back in 2013, new landlord Harry Archilleos chose to document paranormal activity in the hotel on video camera, creating what has since become the biggest project of its kind in the world.
Now, the new show is exploring the history of the hotel, with eyewitness accounts from guests and intriguing discoveries like an enigmatic sword found beneath the floorboards that now hangs proudly behind the bar. Two of the University of Chester’s accomplished academics have provided input for the show. These are Dr. Sam Chadwick, a visiting lecturer of history, and Dr. Nicola Lasikiewicz, Chester’s senior psychology lecturer.
As director, Moss commented on their assistance:
“I would like to personally thank both Nicola and Sam for their contribution to this series as well as the University of Chester for accommodating us.”
He added that having academics participate helped add a crucial historic and scientific dimension to the show. He said that, internationally, the paranormal continues to divide opinions and that the new show aims to extend a more scientific and rational perspective on paranormal television.
My Haunted Project is now available to stream on Amazon Prime.
