Visit Chester Zoo
Offering a student discount, Chester Zoo is dedicated to educating visitors about the plight of endangered animals. Almost too big to be appreciated all in one day, every trip to the zoo is different. New for this summer is the Heart of Africa development. The biggest zoo enclosure project in Britain to date, the enclosure is designed to faithfully recreate the African savannah.
Discover the Blue Planet Aquarium
Just 6.5 miles from Chester in Ellesmere Port, the Blue Planet Aquarium offers a wealth of underwater life including the largest collection of sharks in the whole of Europe. Other highlights include divers feeding fish in a live show and a 71-metre underwater tunnel for close encounters with astonishing sea life.
Chester Racecourse
Students seeking thrills can experience action on the track at Chester’s famous racecourse. In summer, the record-breaking race venue takes on a whole new image, with live DJs playing music into the evening after the racecard completes.
