Exton Park is considered by many as the beating heart of the University of Chester (U of C). The main university campus will soon host an event called The PGCE Open Evening this March.
Chester University offers Primary and Secondary Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) courses that are constructed to prepare students for a rewarding teaching career after they complete their undergraduate degree.
The single-year, Level Seven courses combine evidence-based teaching with practical classroom experiences that ensure would-be teachers develop the necessary confidence and skills required to educate and inspire children.
The Primary/Early Years and Primary and PGCE courses equip undergraduates to motivate and engage younger learners across a full spectrum of subjects taught in primary schools and learning areas in the Early Years curriculum.
The Secondary PGCE course, however, is focused on specific subject training that aims to support both personal and academic student growth. All courses and study pathways are designed to help teachers in training to navigate the many challenges that modern education presents, and focus on student wellbeing.
Students at the University of Chester who are interested in participating in the upcoming informational evening can register their interest by booking a place online via the U of C website.
The PGCE Open Evening will now take place on Tuesday, March 11 between 5 pm and 7 pm. Near student rentals in Chester and just 10 minutes from the city centre, the university’s Exton Park campus can be found on Parkgate Road in Chester.
