In the latest International Student Barometer Survey, the University of Chester has performed strongly thanks to it providing an excellent experience for international students.
The survey is conducted annually by i-Graduate to gain insight into the expectations, decisions, intentions, and perceptions of international students that come from around the world, with it covering everything from application to graduation, and the university uses this as feedback for improving services further. This year, among UK universities, the university secured top-10 places in 20 categories. Of these, four were in the top five and one was in the top three.
In the areas that the university performed particularly well, it came third in the UK for language support and in the top five for Mental Health and Wellbeing Support, Visa Advice, Surroundings Outside the Institution, and Face-Face Orientation. The university also performed well in the rankings for worldwide universities, with it securing top-15 placings for 10 categories, including one in the top ten.
The university’s director at the International Centre, Jonathan Pritchard, said about the news:
“This is a really pleasing result and shows the strength of the Chester offer to our international students. It is very encouraging to see how they are benefiting from their time with us and enjoying their student experience.”
The University of Chester is clearly a popular place to study, and the city boasts a range of affordable but quality accommodation near Chester University, with bills often being included to make it easier to budget.
