Celebrated singer-songwriter and poet Jerry Leger is coming to Chester in April.

The Canadian artist will play a set for one night only at the St Werburgh Parish Centre. The local social club is based inside the former Bowling Green Hotel, a historic building on Brook Street, not far from several student rentals in Chester.

The upcoming show in the city will let Leger introduce his fans in Chester to his latest songs. March 21 will see him release a brand-new album called “Lucky Streak: Latent Lounge – Live From The Hangar” that includes tracks like “Early Riser”, “I Would” and “Out There Like The Rain”. A prolific recording artist with over 20 albums to choose from, Leger will have no shortage of source material to load his set list with.

Recording and playing live since 2005, Leger was signed to Latent Records by Cowboy Junkies guitarist Michael Timmins, who also produced his latest album. He is a tireless live performer and has played for audiences in the US, UK, Europe and in his homeland of Canada. Along with headlining, he has also served as support for Seve Earl, Trampled by Turtles, The Sadies and celebrated Ontario singer-songwriter Ron Sexmith, among many others.

Jerry Leger will play an acoustic concert at St Werburgh Parish Centre in Chester on Saturday, April 12. The general price of admission to the performance is £13.20 per person, and doors will open at 7.30 pm for an 8 pm start.
