This summer, Chester will see the return of the Porsche Chester Cheshire Fashion Week 2024, which promises to be the north’s biggest fashion week and the largest in the UK after London Fashion Week.

The event will aim to highlight Chester as a leading fashion hub by attracting designers from around the world, such as Ololade Atelier, Elie Bahar Fashion Designer, Shawler Couture, Misty Couture, Original Ireland, and Doyenne The Label. The event will take place over several venues, including Chester’s Abode Hotel and Chester Cathedral, from the 13th to the 15th of June. The focus of this year’s event will be sustainable fashion practices. A Fashion Week Awards UK ceremony will also take place for the first time to celebrate the outstanding talent in the fashion sector.

Cheshire Fashion Week’s director, Claire Namukolo Raven, said:

“Cheshire Fashion Week positions Chester as a fashion destination to a global audience by hosting the biggest fashion week in the north outside of London Fashion Week. This has never been done before, but it benefits the city annually with visitors.”

In addition to promoting sustainable fashion trends, the event also aims to support a range of local businesses. Namukolo Raven said that the event had contributed to the plan to enhance Chester’s retail, tourism and hospitality businesses since its launch in 2019. Events like the fashion week make Chester a vibrant place to live, and you can find quality student and young professional accommodation in Chester, often with utility bills included in the rent.
