The Live Rooms in Chester has announced that it will welcome a tribute act dedicate to iconic rock band AC/DC this winter.
Saturday, January 18 will see Live/Wire light up the city event venue’s stage with one of their legendary live performances. Tickets are now available online priced at £20, or gig goers can buy them on the door for £23. Either way, fans of AC/DC may get more than their money’s worth from a set that runs for an epic two hours.
The length of the gig allows the hit tribute band to pack in an abundance of AC/DC numbers from both the days when Bon Scott was frontman and when Brian Johnson took on singing duties. As a result, those coming down to the show can enjoy classics tracks which may include “Back in Black”, “Highway to Hell”, “Thunderstruck”, “You Shook Me All Night Long”, “Let there be Rock”, “Who Made Who” and “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap”, among others.
The band features Podge Blacksmith recapturing Johnson’s vocal style and guitar virtuoso Simon Davies in the role of Angus Young. AC/DC’s rhythm section is also replicated with James Last on drums, Eddie Clark on bass and Dan Mosley on second guitar as Phil Rudd, Cliff Williams and Malcolm Young respectively.
Close to student accommodation in Chester city centre, the Live Rooms can be found at 1 Station Road. Doors to the gig will open at 7 pm and the venues stays open until 11 pm.
