Popular Chester cinema Picturehouse is offering students a chance to enjoy a valuable membership. For a single payment of just £20, film fanatics at the university can access a wide range of benefits that include multiple discounts for the full year.
After exiting their student accommodation in the Garden Quarter or Hoole, graduates and undergraduates can head to the cinema, sited on Hunter Street in the centre of town, and enjoy a comfy seat while watching a wide range of films on the big screen. The venue is known for playing everything from major blockbusters with action, romance and A-List stars to art house opuses from cutting-edge directors.
Student members can enjoy up to £3 off the price of their cinema tickets and never pay full price for a cup of filter coffee or tea. Discounts are available on alcohol for students celebrating and those keen to eat on a budget can enjoy 25% off food with their film.
Cheaper cinema tickets are also offered to students on Happy Mondays and classic films are screened for just $5 at events called “Vintage Sundays”. An annual membership at the cinema also entitles each student to two free tickets to films of their choice.
Picturehouse also welcomes student cinema fans to use it as a hub to hang out in. A warm place to relax, eat and drink with friends in winter, it also offers free Wi-Fi so students can enjoy surfing, streaming and connecting with others online at no extra cost.
